In the event you submit personal information to contact another member of the Marketplace, contact a seller about a Listing, create a listing, add a contact on a Listing, or post on our Site, such information becomes publicly available and we are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit to these services, forums, listings, or persons.
The information we collect about you
When you register for our service we collect the following personal information from you:
- Name, nationality, postal address, email address, telephone number, age range, job title and company.
Occasionally we may receive information about you from other sources (such as credit reference agencies) which we will add to the information which we already hold about you.
With regard to each of your visits to our Site we may automatically collect the following information:
· technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;
· information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our Site (including date and time); pages you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the Site.
When you leave a customer testimonial, this may contain additional personal information about you (depending on the content you provide) an we will post your name alongside your testimonial.
Our Site offers publicly accessible blogs. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, contact us. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why. Alternatively, if you used a third party application to post such information, you can remove it, by either logging into the said application and removing the information or by contacting the appropriate third party application.
How we will use the information about you
We gather this information to allow us to process your registration, provide the services you request in the relation to the Site (including use of the Marketplace), to notify you of changes to our services, to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer, to improve our Site and the services contained thereon, to collate data for internal purposes, and for marketing and other purposes. The relevant information is then used by us, our agents and sub-contractors to send your notifications with regard to use of the Marketplace and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the conduct of your account and the provision of any services (as required) in general. If you agree, we may also contact you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you.
Once you provide us with your contact details and email address, you hereby acknowledge and grant us the permission to communicate with you via email (as well as other communication channels such as phone and fax) for any purposes we determines to be relevant including, but not limited to, system messages, product updates, service announcements and other marketing messages. At all times, we will offer you the opportunity to unsubscribe from any service or update to which you have subscribed, if you change your mind. You can change your email preferences or opt-out of all emails by contacting info@bxb.ae. Under no circumstances will we have any liability for sending any email to you.
Buyers and Sellers are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about service notices and responsibilities. We occasionally communicate with our users via email and phone to provide information about requested services and regarding issues related to their account
All credit/debit cards details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties.
We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us to develop our Site and services and to publish in an aggregated way on our site. We may also provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify you or individual businesses.
Use of Messaging Tools
We may monitor, track or save the use of any features that allow members of the Marketplace to contact each other, but will be under no obligation to monitor, track or save these email messages sent from these tools. If you send an email using any feature service to an email address that is not registered in our system, we do not use that email address for any purpose other than to send your email, and for us to automatically send such person a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the Site. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and for tracking the success of our referral program. We also do not sell these email addresses to un-registered users.
Use of the Marketplace
When a seller submits a Listing, contact information is also entered. We allow users to share contact information with one another via the contact forms on Listings. Companies subscribing to the BXB Corporate Packages may share their contact details (email address and phone number) on their Listings.
Marketing
We may also wish to provide you with information about special features of our Site or any other service or products we think may be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this information, please send an email message to info@bxb.ae. If you agree to us providing you with marketing information, you can always opt out at a later date.
We may also want to provide you with related information from third parties we think may be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this information, please send an email to info@bxb.ae. If you agree to us providing you with third party marketing information, you can always opt out at a later date.
We may also provide your information to carefully selected third parties whose products or services we believe may be of interest to you. If you do not wish us to disclose your information in this way, please send an email to info@bxb.ae.
We post customer testimonials on our website which may contain personal information such as the customer's name. We do obtain the customer's consent to post their name along with their testimonial prior to any posting of such testimonial.
Our use of cookies and other information-gathering technologies
Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information. The information is used to track visitor use of the Site and to compile statistical reports on website activity. How we protect your information
We have put in place the various security procedures and technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal information. The dedicated server for our Site is robust and has a firewall in place. The website and payment gateway both have SSL's which encrypt data when going from one stage to another. Administrative and user passwords are complex passwords, which have an algorithm set in them. All information collected is stored in the database, which uses technology to ensure it is secure.
We will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information. However, you should be aware that the use of the Internet is not entirely secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information which is transferred from you or to you via the Internet.
Overseas transfers
The information you provide may be transferred to countries outside the United Arab Emirates that have different or do not have similar protections in place regarding your data and restrictions on its use as set out in this policy. By agreeing to these Terms of Use you expressly agree to such transfers. However, we will take steps to ensure adequate protections are in place to ensure the security of your information. Access to your information and updating and correcting your information
You can view the information we hold about your by visiting the “My Account” section of the Site after registering. If BX Bureau DMCC’s business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.
